Ecoseed - Optimising the seed microbiome to obtain fertility-generating phenotypes adapted to climate change
DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES
The aim is to add value to the grass and forage seeds that Fertiprado sells through the use of different micro-bio-technologies that have a positive impact on plant nutrition and consequently on the production of plant biomass in quantity and quality.
This is important because it constitutes an innovative business challenge and contributes to the desired transition from the "Green" revolution to the "Golden" revolution in agriculture through its greening.
The microbial coatings to be developed will be based on microorganisms that confer resistance to abiotic and biotic stresses on biodiverse seed mixtures, making it possible to avoid/reduce the use of chemical fertilisers and adapt to current climate changes.
